On May 14^th, the 2^ndZhejiang Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers in Universities and Colleges guided by the Education Department of Zhejiang Province, hosted by Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education and organized by Zhejiang Normal University came to a successful close. The team of Lou Danfeng, the teacher from our School of Urban Construction, performed brilliantly in the final and won the grand prize in the group of associate professors successfully. This is another award after this School won the grand prize in the 1^stZhejiang Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers in Universities and Colleges.

The course that this team chose to submit as the entry this time wasMechanics of Materials. Our teacher Lou Danfeng fully displayed the achievements of classroom teaching innovation and practice in the report on innovative achievements for the competition, upgraded teaching objectives, reconstructed course contents, and integrated with ideological and political elements, optimized teaching design, and innovated the evaluation system. In the province-level competition, Lou Danfeng won unanimous recognition and praise from the judges for her steady teaching style, excellent teaching skill and ability, fluent course presentation, innovative teaching design, and fruitful teaching achievements, finally won the grand prize of the group of associate professors, and shown the teaching quality and charm of an outstanding teacher.

The School of Urban Construction attaches great importance to the training of teachers' teaching ability. Since the nationwide launch of the teaching innovation competition for teachers in universities and colleges in 2021, five teams of teachers from our university have participated in the competition one after another, and all have achieved satisfactory results. The School organized well and provided service support for the competition, and invited experts many times through external exchange and cooperation and special invitation，in order to provide guidance for the participating teachers from various aspects to ensure that there was training before the competition and guidance after the competition. Through the joint efforts of all staff, our university has achieved good results successively, including the grand prize for the group of lecturers and assistants of the 1^stZhejiang Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers in Universities and Colleges (Zhao Xin's team); the third prize of the special contest on the micro-lectures of ideological and political education course of the 1^stZhejiang Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers in Universities and Colleges (Hu Juan’s team); the grand prize for the group of associate professors of the 2^ndZhejiang Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers in Universities and Colleges (Lou Danfeng's team), and the third prizes of the special contest on the micro-lectures of ideological and political education course of the 2^ndZhejiang Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers in Universities and Colleges (Zhao Xin's team and Chen Danwei’s team).

The School of Urban Construction will continue to adhere to the concept of "improving teaching by competition, promoting learning by competition, propelling reform by competition, and accelerating construction by competition", give full play to the exemplary and leading role of the award-winning teachers, and promote the reform and innovation of high-quality classroom teaching and talent training of this School to a new level.

Lou Danfeng will represent Zhejiang Province to participate in the 2^ndNational Teaching Innovation Competition for Teachers held in Xi 'an Jiaotong University in August this year.
