The School of Marxism is an independent secondary school established in June 2017 to meet the new requirements of the reform of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities. The School undertakes the teaching of ideological and political theory courses for the whole university and related work such as Marxist theoretical research. In 2018, the School newly established 6 provincial and ministerial-level subjects, and transferred one national-level subject under research (which has been completed with a "good" appraisal grade); in 2019, the School established 2 new provincial and ministerial-level subjects and 3 university-level youth scientific research programs, and transferred one national-level subject under research; in 2020, there were 3 new provincial and ministerial subjects and 2 provincial education reform subjects. As of the end of 2020, the School has studied a total of 15 vertical subjects at all levels, and a total of 13 horizontal subjects; a total of 12 high-level articles have been published in various first-level and core journals and news media, including 2 pieces with provincial leaders' approval for decision consultations; there are also 1 academic book published, 1 planned to be published, and 1 college-level key discipline platform--Marxist Theory Discipline being built. In 2020, the School reached a cooperation agreement with the School of Marxism of Hangzhou Dianzi University to implement practical cooperation clauses including the joint training of 3 postgraduate students each year. In 2017, our teacher Lin Yishuang won the special prize of the ideological and political group of the 10th Zhejiang Young College Teachers' Teaching Competition; in 2019, our teacher Wang Xue won the second prize of the ideological and political group of the 11th Zhejiang Young College Teachers' Teaching Competition. In 2018, the "Famous Teacher Studio of Ideological and Political Theory Courses of Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province" hosted by Professor Yin Xiaomin was approved; in 2020, the "Famous Teacher Studio of Ideological and Political Theory Courses of Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province" hosted by Professor Song Bin got approved. The School integrates the strength of the teachers of the whole university, and strives for the construction and development goals of building a key Marxist discipline in Zhejiang Province, a key School of Marxism in Zhejiang Province, and a first-class School of Marxism among non-governmental universities across the country.
