Modern Service Research Instituteis the secondary research institute formed on the basis of three provincial platforms, i.e. Zhejiang Research Center of Modern Service Industry, Zhejiang Home Economics Service Industry and Education Integration Alliance, and the Demonstration Base of Old-age Care Talent Training of the Integration of “Medical Treatment, Nursing, Health Care and Management”, and the Future Community Research Institute (theSchoolof Operation Management) through further resource integration. This institute is set up independently to conduct related scientific research and education. Facing the major strategic needs of the country, it integrates the functions of "research, consultation, education, training and service" to provide theoretical support and policy reference for the decision making of local governments, offer planning consulting and personnel training service for the development of enterprises, and cultivate and reserve specialized talents for the development of modern service industry in our province based on the construction goal of cross-integration of new liberal arts, new medical sciences and new engineering, in accordance with the strategic deployment of the provincial party committee and the provincial government and the practical needs of health care, housekeeping and community governance. This is an open and comprehensive research platform and interdisciplinary innovation organization with the interdisciplinary, inter-schooland substantializedcharacteristics.
