In the face of the challenge of a globally aging population, promoting the in-depth transformation and upgrading of the health care industry by means of revolutionary breakthroughs in technology and innovative allocation of production factors has become an important way for the integration, transformation, and innovation of multiple disciplines, such as medicine, biotechnology, environmental health, information science and technology, family community and social governance.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of Zhejiang Shuren University, the university is going to hold the “2024 International Academic Conference on Health and Care” from November 7th to 9th. Themed by “New Quality Productive Forces and High Quality Development of Health Care Industry”, the Conference is held to discuss the opportunities and challenges of technological innovation in health care from the perspective of globalization, to promote the in-depth integration and innovation of interdisciplinary research and application in the field of health care, to share the international advanced experience and the best practices of enterprises of the health care industry, and the new ideas on the establishment and continuous optimization of the talent training system of smart health care.

[Sub-forum 1] Allocation of new elements: Sustainable development of health care industry and innovation of social governance

This sub-forum is held to discuss how to promote the development of the health care industry through the efficient allocation and optimal use of production factors, and achieve innovation in the field of public management. The topics are centered on identifying and solving the challenges in resource allocation and management efficiency in the health care industry, and discussing how to make use of modern management concepts and technological means to enhance the sustainability and popularity of health care services.

[Sub-forum 2] Integrated service: Technology construction and innovation in field of medical and health care

This sub-forum is held to discuss the multi-disciplinary integration of basic medicine, translational medicine, geriatric medicine, geriatric nursing, preventive health care, rehabilitation medicine, information technology, and artificial intelligence, and to promote the integration and innovation of medical and health care services. The topics mainly include cutting-edge studies and practical examples in the law of aging and the disease development mechanisms, new models of health management for vulnerable populations, and artificial intelligence and the integration of medical treatment, health care, nursing, and health management.

[Sub-forum 3] Green functional materials: Application in the fields of environment and health

This sub-forum is held to discuss the application of green functional materials in the fields of environment and health to reduce environmental risks, enhance environmental health, optimize the living environment, improve resource utilization, and promote sustainable development. The topics are centered on cutting-edge studies and challenges in the fields such as the management of new pollutants by green functional materials.
