August 19th is the forth Chinese Doctors’ Day. In order to improve the spirits of medical workers who are saving lives and helping the injured with passionate dedication to their work, Zhejiang awarded model groups and individuals for selfless dedication, virtue and skill - with the intention of inspiring medical workers to remain true to their original aspiration and keep mission firmly in mind, to forge ahead and actively construct a healthier Zhejiang.

On the afternoon of August 13th, Yuan Jiajun - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and Zheng Shanjie - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of the province, visited representatives of: Top Ten Hospitals, Lifetime Achievement Award for Doctors,  Kindness and Benevolence Award, The Most Beautiful Zhejiang People - The Most Beautiful Angel and other award-winners/representatives.

On the same day, academician Zheng Shusen - Dean of ZJSRU’s Shulan International Medical College, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for Doctors, and Ge Yuhua, a teacher of Shulan International Medical College and a head nurse of The Affiliated Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital, was awarded the first bunch of  Kindness and Benevolence Award of Zhejiang province.
