China Tea Olympics was the first tea-theme Olympics in China, showing tea related affairs with many forms such as contest, tasting, discussion and exhibition. It was an important part of the tea industry transformation and upgrading with the “Belt and Road” initiative, and was a grand meeting to provide services to International Tea Expo and the situation of “Hangzhou, capital of tea”. It was an important measure to further improve the brand image of “Hangzhou, capital of tea”.
The 5thChina Tea Olympics was held in Longwu of Hangzhou on December 1. Vice-president Chen Xinmin was invited to present on the opening ceremony of the grand meeting. The Tea Olympics was sponsored by China International Tea Culture Research Society, China Tea Research Society, China Tea People Sodality and Hangzhou People’s Government, and was undertaken by 16 units such as Hangzhou Tea Culture Research Society, West Lake District People’s Government and Zhejiang Shuren University. With the general idea of “providing services for the general situation around the center”, School of Modern Service Industry planned and undertook “Shuren Cup” Tea + Brewing Contest, to win wide praise with innovative contest system, high-level exhibition and the highest popularity!
