“Go beyond dreams and ourselves” ——Students of School of Modern Service Industry won the first prize of “China Construction Bank Cup” Zhejiang Financial Knowledge Contest

In order to promote financial education and financial knowledge popularity works for college students of Zhejiang, “China Construction Bank Cup” Zhejiang Financial Knowledge Contest sponsored by Hangzhou Branch of People’s Bank of China, Zhejiang Banking Regulatory Commission, Zhejiang Insurance Regulatory Bureau and Zhejiang Network Information Office and undertaken by Zhejiang Branch of China Construction Bank and Zhejiang Teaching Steering Committee for Financial Specialty of Regular Institutions of Higher Learning was held in the studio of Zhejiang Radio & TV Group on September 21. With the theme of “popularizing financial knowledge, improving financial quality”, the contest adopted the WeChat online PK method for college students of Zhejiang for the preliminary contest. Finally, the representative teams of six universities and colleges, i.e., Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, Zhejiang Ocean University, Zhejiang Normal University, Zhejiang Shuren University and Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power, were selected into the final.

Since the establishment of the Investment Specialty of School of Modern Service Industry in 2013, the teachers of the specialty had always laid emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship of students, and the students of the specialty had won many prizes in contests and scientific research projects. The teachers of the specialty guided students to win more than 20 prizes in provincial Class A contests during the past three years, including 1 first prize and 3 second prizes; the teachers had guided students to participate in 6 innovation and entrepreneurship projects, including 4 national projects; the teachers had guided students to participate in many scientific research projects such as the Bud Plan, to made significant achievements around cultivation of senior applied talents “skilled in economics, management and investment”.
