President Li Lu Gave a Lecture on Invitation at the National Academy of Education Administration

On the morning of April 10, Prof. Li Lu, President of our university, as a member of the Expert Pool of the National Academy of Education Administration, was invited gave a lecture to more than 80 students in the 71st Training Class for Young and Middle-aged Cadres of Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education at the National Academy of Education Administration.

Combining his working experience in universities and the Department of Education, especially during his stay in Hong Kong, President Li Lu, under the theme of “Collaborative Innovation between the Universities in the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao in Building a Powerful Country in Education”, reviewed the historical changes and development of Hong Kong from the perspective of the “past and present” Hong Kong, and analyzed the current situation of education in Hong Kong in depth, and further elaborated on the role and function of Hong Kong in building a strong modernized country with Chinese characteristics. He emphasized that universities in the mainland and Hong Kong should complement each other's advantages and cooperate in depth, to jointly contribute to building the strategic pivot of the new development paradigm, to be a demonstration site in the process of high-quality development, and to be pioneering in the process of the Chinese-style modernization. Conclusively, he put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions through comparative studies.

President Li Lu's  wonderful lecture was appreciated by the National Academy of Education Administration and welcomed by the students. They thought the lecture was thematic, far-sighted and informative, with strong theoretical, targeted, instructive, and practical meaning. It was not only a lecture on the history of Hong Kong, but also a practical course on higher education reform and innovation, and a lesson of vivid patriotism education.
