Dr. Choi Yuk-lin thanked President Li Lu for his warm reception and fully affirmed the university's rapid development in education. She said that Zhejiang Shuren University had a rich cultural heritage among young universities and a long history of cooperation with Hong Kong to realize mutual growth. She was very glad to see that Zhejiang Shuren University actively mobilized social forces, educated talents in various fields, and carried out close cooperation with many universities in Hong Kong and Macao. And she hoped that in the future, both universities could actively integrate into the overall development of the country, accelerate the combination of regional advantages of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Zhejiang, jointly promote the exchange of resources and talents, achieve "win-win cooperation", and carry out closer cooperation.

Shu Gangbo, Deputy Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education, also put forward expectations for the work of Shuren University. Firstly, the university should speed up external exchange, in addition to Hong Kong and Macao, he hoped that the university would give full play to its advantages and strengthen exchange and cooperation with universities in Taiwan; secondly, it should enhance cooperation, promote the cooperative programs with universities in Hong Kong and Macao, and promote academic visits and communication among teachers and students; thirdly, the university should strengthen research. He suggested that the work of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Research Center for Non-government Funded Education should be expanded, and its name could be changed to be the "Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Research Center", and that a team should be formed to achieve new breakthroughs in the fields such as policy advisory reports.

Before the meeting, President Li Lu and Secretary Zhang Qing acted as the "guides" to introduce the development of the Yangxunqiao Campus to Dr. Choi Yuk-lin and other visitors. They also visited Mingzhe School, Ho Tin Library, and the Library of the CPPCC members. Dr. Choi Yuk-lin spoke highly of the development of the "one-stop" student community under the school system of the university, listened to the history stories of the library, and warmly greeted the students and invited them to Hong Kong for exchange and study.

The friends of Hong Kong always care about the development of Shuren University and pay attention to education. Shuren University and the institutions of Hong Kong are very willing to cooperate with each other and expand their “circle of friends” constantly. 39 years later, in this spring, Dr. Choi Yuk-lin and other visitors came to visit our university and discuss cooperation and development, further deepening mutual understanding, cementing the traditional friendship, and improving educational cooperation and exchange between the university and Hong Kong.
