On May 14, 2018, Chen Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang Shuren University, met with Ian Scowen and his entourage from the School of Chemistry of University of Lincoln.

The two sides reviewed the history of exchanges and cooperation between the two schools, and expressed the hope for further cooperation in the fields of teacher and student exchanges, teaching cooperation and scientific research.

Subsequently, the director of the School of Biology and Environmental Engineering and Ian Scowen held substantive exchanges on "3+1+1" Bachelor-master Program, teacher visits, scientific research cooperation and so on, and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.
