On July 7th, 2023, Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week · Cross-Strait Forum on the Development of Health Care and Professional Education for the Integration of Industry and Education was held as scheduled in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. The forum was hosted by Zhejiang Dongfang Polytechnic, the Chairman of Wenzhou Branch Center of Zhejiang Provincial Home Economics Service Industry Alliance for the Integration of Industry and Education.

The forum gathered more than 400 industry elites, experts and scholars in the field of health care and its professional education in the Yangtze River Delta and even across the Strait to carry out cross-strait health care industry cooperation and exchange activities, promote the establishment of the Cross-Strait alliance and the Yangtze River Delta Community, and improve the integration and development of the education chain, talent chain and science and technology chain, industrial chain and innovation chain.

Four representatives from the Modern Service Research Institute, Zhu Hongying, Wang Qunlong, Wang Yaohui, and Chen Jian, attended this forum. At the invitation of the organizing committee of the Forum, Professor Zhu Hongying made a theme report on “Mismatch between Supply and Demand of Community Elderly Care and Digital Innovation” at the forum, shared the mismatch phenomenon between supply and demand of community elderly care, and proposed the use of digital innovation to solve the problem of mismatch between supply and demand of community elderly care, which was highly recognized by the attendees. After the meeting, the representatives of the Institute exchanged opinions and discussed with the attendees from the colleges and universities of Hunan and Jiangsu in depth on the training of health talents and educational organization models, and gained useful experience.

During this forum, the organizations, including Wenzhou Medical University, Zhejiang Shuren University, Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Commerce, Anqing Medical College, Zhejiang Dongfang Polytechnic, CIMIC Group, Greentown Group, and Better Sun Education Group, jointly initiated the establishment of the Yangtze River Delta Health Care and Professional Education Community of the Integration of Industry and Education, aiming to integrate and optimize health care resources, improve the health care industry chain, and promote the development of health care industry. Zhejiang Shuren University was elected as the vice president for the integration of industry and education.
