(The First Announcement)
More and more Asian countries and even the international community stay in a period characterized by relatively large elderly population, accelerated aging rate and arduous tasks of coping with population aging. Facing the increasingly severe challenges of population aging, China, Japan and Korea announced the Joint Declaration on Active and Healthy Ageing Cooperation; the State Council of China issued Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Elderly Care Service Industry; Zhejiang Province published the Implementation Opinions of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province on Accelerating the Development of the Elderly Care Service Industry, proposing the requirements of “promoting the integrated development of medical care and elderly care”, and “accelerating the training of special talents in geriatric medicine, rehabilitation, nursing, nutrition, psychology and social work”. Under the background of rapid development and full integration of technologies such as big data and the Internet of Things, the use of modern technologies to realize smart health care for the elderly is an effective way to solve the problems of the elderly care.
