Recently, our university and Shizuoka University of Welfare held an online meeting on cooperation and exchange. The meeting was led by the Shizuoka Fukui Affairs Bureau of the General Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Shizuoka Prefecture Japan-China Friendship Association, attended by more than 20 people of 7 organizations from China and Japan. Ten people from our university, including Wang Yun, Director of the Office of International Exchange, Zhu Hongying, Executive Dean of the Modern Service Research Institute, and Jiang Minmin, Deputy Dean of Shulan International Medical College, attended the meeting. And more than 10 attendees, including Jin Guoqing, Director of the Shizuoka Fukui Affairs Bureau of the Provincial Government Office, Kazue Hirano, Executive Director of the Shizuoka Prefecture Japan-China Friendship Association, Mr. Nagasaka, Director of the Faculty of Social Welfare of Shizuoka University of Welfare, and Keiko Arai, Professor of Health and Welfare of Shizuoka University of Welfare, Mr. Masuda, Chairman of INFIC Co., Ltd., Ms. Kasahara, Director of the President's Office of INFIC, Yukihisa Kawai, Head of the Overseas Exchange Division of the Regional Diplomacy Department of the Shizuoka Prefecture Regional Diplomacy Bureau, and Xiao Yanyan, General Manager of Hangzhou Guangyu Anno Industrial Group Co., Ltd., attended this meeting via ZOOM online meeting room.
The meeting was chaired by Kazue Hirano. She pointed out that Shizuoka Prefecture and Zhejiang Province had carried out rich and colorful exchanges since the establishment of friendly relations in April 1982. In order to promote communication and exchange in medical care and welfare, efforts would be made to promote the exchange between universities in Zhejiang Province and Shizuoka Prefecture. This exchange meeting between Zhejiang Shuren University and Shizuoka University of Welfare was exactly the first step.
Wang Yun first introduced the basic situation of our university, and introduced the international promotion of our university's medical care and nursing management in terms of teacher exchange, talent training, academic exchange, and finally invited Shizuoka University of Welfare and all attendees to attend the "International Forum on Smart Health and Care 2022" to be held by our university in November. Zhu Hongying introduced the general situation of Modern Service Research Institute, and proposed to the intention of cooperating with Shizuoka University of Welfare to carry out research on the "Elderly Health Management Mode and Social Participation in the Background of Aging", "Sustainable Development of Future Communities", "Children's Mental Health Intervention and Development", "Teaching Standards for Training the Talents of Home Economics, Health and Well-being Majors”. Peng Ling introduced the general situation of the nursing major of Shulan International Medical College, and expressed the hope to cooperate with Shizuoka University of Welfare on the exchange visit of students and young teachers, academic research, elderly care and elderly care industry development. In the end, Jiang Minmin said that Japan had rich practical experience in elderly care and looked forward to the establishment of friendly cooperative relations between these two universities and in-depth exchange in elderly care to cope with the rapidly growing aging problem.
Keiko Arai from Shizuoka University of Welfare introduced the basic situation of the university. Mr. Nagasaka said that Shizuoka University of Welfare was very willing to carry out exchanges with our university and allow teachers and students to have the opportunity to view nursing and welfare from an international perspective, and hoped that both universities would carry out the exchange visits of teachers, exchange students and the cooperation on joint research and nursing publicity on the basis of continuously deepening mutual understanding. Mr. Masuda, Chairman of INFIC Co., Ltd., and Xiao Yanyan, General Manager of Hangzhou Guangyu Anno Industrial Group Co., Ltd. also made speeches respectively, expressing their willingness to participate in cooperation with universities to jointly promote the development of welfare and nursing in China and Japan.
In the end, Jin Guoqing made a summary of the meeting. He pointed out that the Shizuoka Fukui Affairs Bureau drafted the Three-Year Plan on the Exchange of Zhejiang- Shizuoka Nursing and Elderly Services in 2020, the specific goal of which was to build a brand of elderly care and exchange between Zhejiang Province and Shizuoka Prefecture and to carry out practical cooperation. He said that the first exchange meeting between these two universities was quite effective, and hoped Zhejiang and Shizuoka would carry out in-depth exchanges in various fields and specific work of elderly care and nursing in the future, and expected Shuren University and Shizuoka University of Welfare would effectively promote mutual exchange and cooperation between teachers and students, and achieve new results in the communication in elderly care under the common support of all parties.
Shizuoka University of Welfare is the only welfare university in Shizuoka Prefecture. Our university will actively promote exchanges and cooperation between both universities, improve the internationalization level of nursing and welfare-related disciplines of our university, and train the talents of medical care and nursing management majors with international vision.
