The FirstInternational Tea Culture Schoolin Our Country Was Established at Zhejiang ShurenUniversity

In the afternoon of May 19, 2019, the first International Tea Culture School in our country was established atZhejiang Shuren University. More than 150 people including China International Tea Culture Research Institute, Hangzhou Tea Research Institute of China Tea Museum, China National Supply and Marketing Cooperation Society, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang Tea Group Co., Ltd., Japan International Tea Art Co., Ltd., South Korea Green Tea Culture Research Institute and Hangzhou Gongshu Tea Culture Research Institute, domestic and foreign famous experts and professors and all teachers of Tea Culture of Zhejiang ShurenUniversityandschoolfellows of Tea Culture witnessed the important moment together with teachers and students of our university and witnessed the third leap in tea culture education in our university.

The establishment of the International Tea Culture School was jointly launched by Zhejiang Shuren University, China Tea Museum, Zhejiang Tea Group Co., Ltd., Japan International Tea Art Co., Ltd. and South Korea Green Tea Culture Research Institute. On the ceremony, Xu Xuqing, president of Zhejiang Shuren University, and principals of the launching units, Wu Xiaoli, Mao Limin, Dadao Liyue and Zheng Zhenmei, signed the cooperation agreement, to work together to carry forward the excellent traditional culture in China and strengthen international education and communication of China tea culture, to cultivate international and versatile talents for prospects. As an entity unit,School of Modern Services of Zhejiang Shuren University will conduct activities such as talent innovative cultivation and cultural communication and opening in a way of the industry college. Zhu Hongying, dean of the college, made a acknowledge speech.

As the mostimportantengineering for construction of the International Tea Culture School, Xu Xuqing, president of the university, issued the letter of appointment to the first batch of visiting professors with prominent specialized qualifications in fields such as International Tea Culture Education and Communication and Tea Industry International Development Research, i.e., Wang Yuefei, Mao Limin, Zhang Shikang and Dadao Liyue.

As an important troop for International Tea Culture School, the“Sanjian”Tea Culture College Fellow Society composed by graduates of Zhejiang Shuren University recommended four college fellows, i.e., Xiang Zongzhou from China International Tea Culture Research Institute, Guo Huidan, a national master of tea, Xu Zemei from China Tea Museum, and Chen Yueyuan from Zhejiang Tea Group, to announce the advocacy.They said they would take efforts to make contributions to the tea culture career and the industry to create a better prospect by leading a young generation of tea practitioners, in virtue of the high-quality platform provided by International Tea Culture School.

During the second stage of the establishment ceremony, the“Sanjian”international tea party with thick Eastern cultural features was held. Fan Junwen, the non-cultural heritage successor, Ms. Shen Shangshu of South Korea Green Tea Institute, Mr. Dadao Jingming, a Japanese tea art master presented performance of tea art, tea etiquette and tea ceremony. Principals of cooperation units and the first batch of visiting professors stepped onto the stage to propose requirements and suggestions about construction ofInternational Tea Culture School. Many full-time professors, invited professors and principals of practice bases of Tea Culture of Zhejiang Shuren University discussed and interacted with college fellows in a friendly way, to discuss on the way to construct International Tea Culture School, to draw the beautiful blueprint of“tea and the world”for China tea culture. College fellows organized the memoriam ceremony for Ms. Danxia Mingyue during the tea party period.

In order to implement the orientation of“teaching service-oriented university”, optimize operating structure, accelerate international process and expand the operating spaces of our university, International Tea Culture School is established bySchoolof Modern Services. By making full use of education and teaching resources of our university, the college works together with domestic and foreign famous institutions, expert teams, global tea lovers and college fellow teams, tojointlyestablish the growing-type international platform integrated with“talent cultivation, cultural opening and innovative driving”, to assist with the development of the tea culture career and industry and facilitate innovation of tea culture education and teaching in our university with students of Zhejiang Shuren University and a young generation of tea practitioners. In this way, it introduces Chinese tea and tea culture to the whole world with the background of accelerated opening-up steps in our country, to dialogue with the whole world with the carrier of tea, to realize common progress.
