"Chinese calligraphy expresses strong affection, and paintings sing the praises of prosperity". On the afternoon of November 20 th, "Celebrating the 34th Anniversary and Designing for a Better Life" and the 2018 Teachers' Works Exhibition of the School of Art were grandly opened at the Art Museum of the school. The design service cases reflecting major features in visual communication design, environmental design, product design, industrial design, animation and other majors carefully designed by 33 teachers of the School were exhibited, as well as 79 artistic works in various forms such as calligraphy, sculpture, pottery, Chinese painting, oil painting, toner painting, photography, multimedia and plane installation. Zhang Qing, secretary of the school Party Committee, Wang Jun, deputy secretary of the school Party Committee, Ye Shiping, vice-president of the school, Mao Xiangxian, former curator of the art museum of the school, responsible persons of relevant departments of the school, representatives of paired poverty alleviation organizations, alumni representatives, and teachers and students of the School of Art attended. The opening ceremony was presided over by Lin Tao, vice president of the School.

"Colored brushes depict beautiful pictures to compete for elegance, while light and shadow glitter to contain the essence". This exhibition of teachers' works is an exchange, a report and an incentive. Exhibits bear various forms, ranging from fresh and delicate works to magnificent masterpieces, each of which is carefully created by the author. They are different in style, rich in content and profound in charm, and incorporate the authors’ exquisite feelings, innovative thinking and strength in solving problems. The School of Art highlights the overall level of professional teachers and their ability to serve the society with its unique dialogue of "art, design and life", expresses the joy of celebrating the 34th anniversary of school founding, and creates an atmosphere of aesthetic education on campus.
