The advisory committee of Hangzhou municipal Party committee and municipal government (hereinafter referred to as “municipal advisory committee”) is an advisory institute that providing services to the municipal Party committee and the municipal government, with scientific decision, democratic decision and legal decision. It is the brain trust that promotes high-quality development of Hangzhou, and is a bridge to draw wills and wisdom of people; in addition, it is a comprehensive, strategic and policy-oriented decision advisory service platform.

The municipal advisory committee was composed by 98 people, and 5 specialized groups were established, i.e., the economic group, the political group, the cultural group, the social group and the ecological group. It was determined based on recommendation from the university and the research results of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government that Zhu Hongying, dean of School of Modern Service Industry of our university was invited as a member of the cultural group of the advisory committee, with the employment period of 5 years.
