The university-enterprise cooperation ceremony activity of 2019 was held in Hangzhou West Lake State Guest House recently, and our university was awarded with the “University-enterprise Cooperation Talent Contribution Prize” issued by the State Guest House. With profound historic and cultural connotation, Hangzhou West Lake State Guest House was famous for garden culture, leadership culture and the establishment of Sino-US diplomatic relations. As a guest house that received state leaders of all generations in our country and foreign heads, it was the main reception unit for G20 Hangzhou Summit.

In order to provide better development platform for students, our university and the State Guest House constructed the talent cooperation cultivation base in 2010, with profound cooperation on talent cultivation, teaching practice, teaching material compiling, lectures and teaching resource sharing during the nearly 10 years. Some students of the Tourism Management Specialty in our university went to the State Guest House every year to conduct specialized comprehensive practice and project investigation planning works for half a year. Both parties always expanded cooperation fields and conducted tea art culture exchange and exhibition activities. University-enterprise cooperation was an important approach to cultivate applied undergraduate talents and improve professional quality, and two or three practice students were employed by the State Guest House due to good performance every year, in which Liang Pei, a student of Tourism Management Specialty of 2014 grew to a business backbone of the State Guest House in the fierce contest.

Both parties always kept good interactive relations during the cooperation of eight years. Especially, during the G20 Summit in Hangzhou of 2016, “Little green lotus”, the volunteer service team constituted by more than 10 students in our university, participated in reception service works of heads of many states, and was highly praised by Xia Baolong, secretary of a provincial Party committee at that time, and leaders of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It reflected high affirmation by the State Guest House to talent cultivation results of our university. The school would further expand university-enterprise cooperation by meeting social demands, to make the students more competitive and improve the public praise of the university.
