As the 35th university anniversary, in order to improve foreign exchange and cooperation and promote international exchanges, School of Information Science and Technology and Technology of Zhejiang Shuren University, College of Applied Mathematics and Computing Science of Belarusian State University and Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. jointly held “Academic Exchange Meeting about Key Technologies of Intelligent City-oriented Image Understanding” in our university on November 6, 2019. Experts and scholars from China and Republic of Belarus gathered together to conduct research, discussion and exchange in technologies. The meeting was jointly held by Professor Ren Tiaojuan, dean of School of Information Science and Technology and Technology, and Dr. Jiang Jun.
Firstly, Professor Chen Xinmin, the vice-president, welcomed all the experts and guests at the meeting and celebrated the holding of the meeting on behalf of the university. According to Professor Chen Xinmin, the university always laid emphasis on international scientific cooperation and exchange, and regarded Republic of Belarus as the most important partner with the “Belt and Road” initiative, and always promoted the cooperation. School of Information Science and Technology has positively developed joint construction and research of “International Scientific Cooperation Base for Remote Image Processing and Application between China and Republic of Belarus” and “Research Center of Image Processing between China and Republic of Belarus” with Belarusian State University and Russia University of Information and Radio, with favorable achievements. He believed that the academic seminar would promote related parties to deepen understand and facilitate friendship and cooperation, which would lead to abundant achievements in the future. At the same time, he appreciated the support from Belarusian State University and Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. for the meeting. Vice-president Ye Shiping, Hu Jianwei, head of Department of International Exchange, and Lv Hexin, deputy director of the academic committee of the university, attended the meeting.
Eight experts including Professor Serguy, an academician of National Academy of Sciences of Republic of Belarus and European Academy of Sciences, Professor Anatolly Osipov, a vice-president of Russia University of Information and Radio, Professor Alexander, director of Department of Computer Technology and System of Belarusian State University, Professor Orga, a doctor of Belarusian State Medical University, Professor Miu Yongwei, a doctoral supervisor of School of Information Science and Technology of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Dr. Cheng Miao, the R&D director of Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd. and Dr. Chen Huafeng and Dr. Jiang Jun of School of Information Science and Technology gave excellent academic reports. The experts shared research achievements in intelligent video surveillance system in intelligent cities, composition of valid electrical stimulus signals, detecting of buildings on satellite images, biological image analysis of microscopic resolution ratio level, 3D modeling of indoor scenes, application of AI in video Internet of Things, recognition of group actions in videos and intelligent image processing technologies of financial bills and medical image recognition. The guests and the experts conducted exchanges and interactions at the meeting, to start the new era for an intelligent life.
Academician Serguy highly praised the organizational arrangement and the academic level of the academic meeting, as well as the specialized level and the exchange of all scholars after the meeting. The academic forum will lay a good foundation for construction of research teams of related fields and sustainable promotion of academic works.
