The President and Delegation from Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk Visit Our School of Humanities and Foreign Languages
On the afternoon of June 4, Yury Ramanouski, Vice Chancellor of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk, and Olga Zhuravskaya, Director of the International Cooperation Office, visited and exchanged ideas at our School of Humanities and Foreign Languages. Wang Yun, Director of the International Exchange Office, Li Jianliang, Dean of the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages, Wang Xianju, Director of the Belarus Research Center, along with researchers Yang Liping and Shou Jiarui, participated in the discussion.

At the symposium, Dean Li Jianliang extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation from Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk. He briefly outlined the establishment and achievements of the Belarus Research Center, a Ministry of Education designated center for country and regional studies, over the past two years. He expressed hope that both sides could utilize the platform of the research center to strengthen communication and collaboration not only in the humanities education field but also in technology, economy, culture, and other areas. This would foster high-quality development in talent cultivation, disciplinary construction, and facilitate practical cooperation between China and Belarus, pushing bilateral relations to new heights.

President Yury expressed gratitude for Dean Li Jianliang’s warm welcome and highly praised the achievements of the Belarus Research Center in recent years. He emphasized the center’s significance in studying Sino-Belarusian relations, promoting friendly interactions between the two peoples, and fostering bilateral development. President Yuri also gave a brief overview of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk and highlighted similarities between the two institutions in multiple disciplines and research directions. He expressed anticipation for future collaborations across various fields.

The visiting delegation also toured He Tian Library, Mingzhe Academy, and the Tea Culture Laboratory at our Yang Xunqiao Campus before the meeting. President Yuri expressed sincere gratitude to Director Wang Xianju, who facilitated the visit, and to Alina Grishkevich, a senior journalist from the Belarusian National News Agency. He looks forward to further development in educational cooperation between the two countries.
