From October 13-17, 2021, 14th National Structural Design Contest for College Students of “Shanghai Construction Cup” was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University. 112 teams from 111 colleges and universities across the country stood out from 1148 teams of 550 colleges and universities from all the divisions and gathered together. Yan Qianlian, Xu Junjie and Ding Siyu from the Steel Structure Class 191 of the School of Urban Construction represented our university to take part in the contest, Yao Jian, Dean of the School of Steel Structure Industry led this team in person, Lou Danfeng, the teacher and adviser, provides guidance throughout the contest, and our teacher Lu Yuting also accompanied the team to the competition site. After fierce loading competition, the representative team of our university won the second prize. This is the fourth consecutive time that our university has won the National Award since 2017, and also the first time that our university prepares for the National Structural Design Contest for College Students in Yangxunqiao Campus.

Our university has continuously transformed its scientific research advantages into the characteristics of talent training in combination with its characteristics of university management, and has participated in the 14th National Structural Design Contest for College Students for four times consecutively and already won two first prizes and two second prizes.
