“Baozhi Cup” the 13thNational College Student Structural Design Contest of 2019 was held in Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology during October 16-20. Nearly 760 teachers and students of 111 teams from 110 universitiesand colleges in our country gathered together here. Li Zhengye, Class 171 of Urban Railway, He Yang, Class 171 of Structure and Lu Jinhao of Class 171 of Steel Structure of theSchoolof Urban Construction participated in the contest on behalf of our university. Yao Jian, dean of the school, led the team and participated in the whole course of the contest. Jin Xiaoqun, vice-dean of the school, as well as the advisors, i.e., Lou Danfeng and ShenHua, also went to the contest to encourage the students. The representative team of our university stood out in the fierce contestamong teams of many famous universities and colleges such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology and Southeast University, to continue to win the first prize with excellent performance of the sixth place in the whole country. The team of our university won the first prize in the last year, too.
