Hosted by China Specialized Committee of Civil Engineering Society FRP and Engineering Application, undertaken by Zhejiang Shuren University, and co-organized by Jiangsu Hengshen Fiber Material Co., Ltd. and Machinery Company of Zhejiang Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., “the 7th National Academic Exchange Meeting of FRP” was held in our school during October 15 – 16, 2011. More than 150 people including experts and scholars from domestic and foreign universities, colleges and scientific research, design and construction units, representatives of related manufacturers as well as teachers and students in our school attended the meeting.
Leaders such as Shou Jiangang, Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Department of Science and Technology and Deputy Director-general, and Yue Qingrui, Director of China Specialized Committee of Civil Engineering Society FRP and Engineering Application, attended the ceremony of the meeting and made speeches. The ceremony was held by Xu Xuqing, Vice President of the university. The closing ceremony was jointly held by Yue Qingrui and Professor Yao Jian.
The holding of the meeting in our university showed the standard and strength of our country in research and application of FRP and the concrete structure, which played important roles in improving influences of our university in related disciplines in the whole country, expanding exchanges and cooperation of teachers and students with domestic and foreign scholars and units as well as construction and development of related disciplines in our university.
