Recently, the theme event “Reunion at Shuren, Encountering Youth” for the 2025 Alumni Day, organized by the university’s Alumni Association, was warmly launched simultaneously at both the Hangzhou and Shaoxing campuses. Hundreds of alumni from different graduating classes across the country returned to their alma mater to revisit the landmarks of their youth and reconnect with old classmates.

From November 7 to 8, alumni returned to the campus, strolling through classrooms, dormitories, cafeterias, and other familiar spots, reliving their student days and experiencing the renewed campus atmosphere. At check-in areas like the “Friends’ Meetup Point”, old friends shook hands, shared laughter, and enjoyed the joy of reunion, creating a warm and lively ambiance.

Many alumni specially brought their families along, inviting their loved ones into the scenes of their youth and sharing interesting stories from their academic years. Yang, a Journalism graduate of Class 2013, walked with his parents through the Yangxunqiao Campus. His parents’ simple yet heartfelt words were filled with deep emotion and expectations, hoping he would continue to strive and achieve more in his life’s journey. The family took photos together at the photo spots, capturing touching moments where family bonds and alumni connections intertwined.

Some alumni held their partners’ hands or brought their children, wandering through campus corners and introducing them to the buildings that held memories of their youth. They shared untold stories of their younger days with the most important people in their lives. The scenes of “family joy” visible throughout the campus made this homecoming journey not only a tribute to youth but also a warm continuation of university ties and family affection.

This Alumni Day was not just a trip down memory lane but also a heartfelt dialogue between youth and time, a mutual journey of growth and gratitude. The Alumni Association of our university will continue to deepen branded activities such as “Alumni Day”, “Reunion by Decade”, and “Alumni+”, further enriching the essence of alumni work by creating a diverse and integrated service ecosystem. These efforts aim to gather the wisdom and strength of Shuren alumni in support of the university’s goal of “enhancing quality and advancing toward a university of higher stature”.
