On December 13^th, the 12^th Teaching Competition for University Young Teachers hosted by the Education Department of Zhejiang Province and the Educational Labour Union of Zhejiang Province and organized by Zhejiang University came to a successful conclusion. The finals were held in the form of on-line competition, and there were totally 137 young teachers from 68 colleges and universities of Zhejiang Province competing on line. After the fierce competition, Fu Changchun, Teacher from the School of Biology and Environmental Engineering won the second prize of the science group; Dai Guoyong, Teacher from the School of Information Science and Technology won the second prize of the engineering group, and ZJSRU won the honorary title of “Excellent Organization Award”.

Since the start of this competition, ZJSRU invited many experts to give guidance for teaching design, PPT design and preparation, and recording of classroom teaching videos. Teachers who won awards over the past years, for example, Zhao Xin, Lin Yishuang, Lou Danfeng and Ma Qing, also guided and helped participants actively. Teachers who participated in this competition overcame difficulties and spent much time and made great efforts to improve teaching skills. ZJSRU paid high attention to the cultivation and growth of young teachers, and considered the teaching competition as an important platform for improving the teaching ability of young teachers. Vice President Chen Xinmin attended the online competition to express solicitude and encouragement to the teachers participating in the competition. This competition was also strongly supported by the Department of Information Construction, the Office of Academic Affairs and Schools of ZJSRU, so that the online finals were held successfully.
