The Cutting-Edge Interdisciplinary Forum of Life Sciences and Ageing Society Held at ZJSRU

Life Sciences and Ageing Society themed seminar, sponsored by Zhejiang Social Sciences Association, undertaken by Zhejiang Shuren University, the first seminar at Zhejiang Social Sciences Association Interdisciplinary Discussion, was held at Zhejiang Hotel on March 20, 2021. Professor Li Lanjuan (Director of Zhejiang University Infectious Disease Diagnosis National Key Laboratory, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a Chief Physician), Professor Huang Hefeng (Dean of the Institute of Reproduction and Development at Fudan University, an Academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an Academician of Academy of Sciences for Developing Countries, a member of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences) and Professor Song Weihong (Academician at the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Vice-President at the Academy of Wenzhou Medical University, President at the Institute of Ageing and Director of Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Alzheimer’s Disease Research) made speeches.


Our University President, Professor Li Lu, as well as experts and scholars in the field of medicine, society and ethics also made speeches. Guo Huawei, Secretary and Vice-Chairman of the Party Committee of Zhejiang Social Sciences Association, and Professor Zhang Qing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shuren University, attended the forum and made speeches. Ye Shiping, Vice-President of Shuren University, and other teachers from various institutions also attended the forum.



Guo Huawei affirmed this interdisciplinary forum as a useful exploration of the social science and medical science communities in our province, as a response to major strategic deployments of "Health China" and the promotion and development of strategic emerging industries in our provincial life sciences fields. In his speech, Secretary Zhang Qing thanked the Provincial Social Science Federation for its help and support towards the university, and the academicians and experts who attended the meeting, pointing out that the forum was of great significance in promoting the development of the university in this field.
