The Chairman Office (Expansion) Meeting Zhejiang Private Education Association was held in the 6th floor meeting room in the University’s Administrative Building in the morning of January 12. In total, 15 people including Ge Weimin and Ye Xiangqun - Chairman and Vice - Chairman of Zhejiang Private Education Association, Lin Xiaoming - Vice - Chairman and Secretary - General, Li Lu - President of Shuren University, Zhang Qing - Secretary of The Party Committee of Shuren University, as well as Chairmen of various other branches attended the meeting.
Li Lu - Chairman of the Higher Education branchand President of our university, addressed in his speech that ‘2021 was an expected year after the anomalous 2020. It was important for private education institutions to follow the fundamental policies of our country, clarifying the role of education in strategical provincial strengthening, showing the potential of private education association participation in administration and discussion of state affairs.
It was required for private universities and colleges to improve themselves by reflecting on their positions, roles and contributions to private education institutions around the “14th five-year” development plan, by applying pressure to improve themselves and constantly fulfilling their full potential to strengthen the construction of application-oriented universities. Besides, it was important for private-education institutions to study documents such as Non-governmental Education Promotion Law and Enforcement Regulations of Non-governmental Education Promotion Law, to strive for the “national treatment” of private universities and colleges in it’s subjects construction, while improving it’s judgement of situations after transferring into independent schools.
