On the morning of June 5, as part of Foreign Aid Training Program of China arranged by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) of the Ministry of Commerce, a delegation of 27 international guests from the Seminar for Education Officials of Developing Countries, organized and accompanied by Zhejiang International Studies University, visited our university’s Yangxunqiao Campus in Shaoxing. The visiting officials and educators came from six countries, namely, Fiji, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Gambia, Egypt, and Nauru, all of whom hold key positions in national ministries of education or educational institutions. Our university officials accompanying the delegation included Yu Haibiao, Vice President of our university; Dong Yifen, Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department of our university; Hu Jianwei, Dean of the School of International Education; Wu Ronglan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs; and Wang Cui, Secretary of the CPC Branch of Chenyang Residential College.

The visit began at the “Road of Shuren” University History Museum, where the guests gained a comprehensive understanding of the University’s development history, distinctive educational features, and achievements in talent cultivation through historical documents, photographs, and exhibits. The guests spoke highly of our university’s strong educational foundation and fruitful outcomes.



The delegation then visited the Li Bicong Tea Culture Laboratory. Students majoring in Tea Culture of our university presented a series of tea art performances, demonstrating both the traditional brewing techniques of Orchid Tea and an original tea beverage creation entitled A Tea Tree. The performances highlighted the elegance of traditional Chinese tea culture as well as the vitality of contemporary tea innovation. The international guests sampled the tea and truly appreciated the unique charm of ancient and modern Chinese tea culture.

During the tea tasting, Vice President Yu Haibiao introduced our university’s academic programs, disciplinary development, and current international exchange activities. Both sides held a friendly and productive discussion on trends in educational development in China and other countries.


As the final stop of the visit, the delegation toured the “Shuren Home” One-Stop Student Community, where Wang Cui guided the guests through various student service and support facilities. The visitors learned in detail about our university’s integrated student management system, student development support services, and logistical support mechanisms. After experiencing the facilities, the foreign guests highly commended our university’s student-centered approach and the comprehensive platform for holistic student development.


This visit formed an important part of China’s international educational assistance and exchange initiatives. It not only showcased our university’s distinctive educational strengths and China’s outstanding traditional culture to international guests, but also fostered mutual learning and understanding among education professionals from different countries. It further laid a solid foundation for the university to continue expanding its international exchange channels.
