From April 17 to 19, the “2026 International Academic Conference on Philosophy and Culture Studies” was held at Lingnan Normal University. Wang Xianju, a guest professor of our university’s Belarus Research Center, and Shou Jiarui, a faculty member of the center, were invited to attend the conference. Together with 53 experts and scholars from China, Belarus, Russia, and Poland, they engaged in in-depth discussions on the theme of “Cultural Coexistence under the Global Civilization Initiative and the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’”.

During the keynote speech session, Wang Xianju, in his presentation entitled “Urgent Need to Strengthen People-to-People Exchange Mechanisms in the Eurasian Region”, systematically summarized five key factors: head-of-state diplomacy, guidance from international documents, legal protection, regularized mechanisms, and “National Year” activities. Addressing issues such as current imbalances in cooperation, institutional shortcomings, and insufficient vitality in civil exchanges, he proposed countermeasures and emphasized the need to solidify the social foundation for people-to-people connectivity in Eurasia.

In the panel discussion session, Shou Jiarui presented a report entitled “Practical Exploration and Optimization Pathways for China-Belarus Language Education Cooperation from the Perspective of ‘Chinese + Vocational Skills’ Integration”. She introduced the current development status of this model in Belarus and proposed an innovative plan for integrating language and vocational education, providing a reference for the global development of vocational education.

Since its establishment, the Belarus Research Center of our university has consistently focused on regional and country-specific studies of China, Belarus and the broader Eurasian region. Participation in this conference not only expanded the center’s cooperation network but also showcased the latest research achievements of our university in regional and country-specific studies.
