On the morning of March 12, 2026, the Office of International Affairs, the School of Economics and Management of our university, together with Sunchon National University in South Korea, held an online meeting on promoting the Joint Education Program for Graduate Students Majoring in Tea Culture.

During the meeting, both parties respectively introduced their historical development and institutional evolution, educational characteristics, and academic strengths in tea culture-related disciplines at first, and subsequently reached a high degree of consensus on establishing a “3+1+X” international joint education model.
In his concluding remarks, Professor Yan Hong, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, noted that the School has always adhered to an open and inclusive educational philosophy and actively expanded global educational pathways. This strategic partnership with Sunchon National University will inject strong international impetus into the development of the master’s degree programs of the School and greatly enhance the internationalization of its teaching and research. It will not only broaden the academic and career horizons of students but also build a bridge of friendship between China and South Korea with tea as the medium.
To facilitate the early implementation of the program, a delegation from Sunchon National University will soon visit our university, during which both sides will jointly witness the official signing of a memorandum of understanding.
This meeting marks not only a milestone in the collaboration between the two universities but also an important exploration in the internationalization of disciplinary development of the School of Economics and Management.
