On Sep. 23, Shuren University and Hong Kong Baptist University held an online meeting for exchange and cooperation in the Meeting Room 312 of the Administration Building. President Li Lu, Wang Yun, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Liu Weiping, Dean of Interdisciplinary Research Academy attended this meeting. Wai Ping Kong, President of Hong Kong Baptist University, and Chau Wai Lap, Vice President of Hong Kong Baptist University attended the meeting online. Both parties have fully discussed the exchange and cooperation between both universities and reached several cooperation intentions.

On this meeting, Li Lu introduced the development history and education characteristics of our university, mentioned our achievements in the fields of talent training, introduction of high-end teachers, scientific research and social services, international education and other fields, and also emphatically explained the specific measures taken by our university in recent years to continuously improve the level of education with discipline construction as the guide, as well as the establishment of interdisciplinary platforms of "Medicine, Engineering, and Information Technology" Interdisciplinary Research Institute, Interdisciplinary Research Academy and Modern Service Research Institute. Liu Weiping introduced the construction ideas, research directions and service characteristics of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy, and proposed the intention of both universities to jointly set up "3+X" undergraduate and master's programs and cooperate on scientific research.

After listening to Li Lu's introduction, Wai Ping Kong expressed his sincere appreciation to the construction and achievements of our university in the past 38 years and hoped that both universities would accelerate the pace of cooperation and jointly promote the development of various exchanges. Chau Wai Lap gave further explanation on the cooperative education and the cooperative on "3+X" undergraduate and master's programs.

In the end, both parties reached the intention to actively carry out the exchange visits of teachers and students, cooperative education, joint training of talents and cooperation in scientific research based on establishing inter-university friendship.
