On October 19, 2017, Principal Xu Xuqing of Zhejiang Shuren University met with Don Capener, visiting Dean of Davis College of Business, Jacksonville University and his entourage.

The two sides reviewed the course of friendly exchanges between the two schools, discussed how to further promote cooperation, especially the "2+2" cooperative school-running project, and discussed the management and teaching mode of higher education in China and the United States.

During the visit, Don Capener and his entourage also held cooperation talks with the leaders of the School of Management and the School of Humanity & Foreign Languages, and discussed the dual-degree cooperation, exchange students, exchange tutors, short-term study, establishment of overseas Chinese teaching practice base, and business school cooperation, and reached cooperation intention.
