On May 18, 2019, Zhejiang Shuren University held the Founding Conference of Shulan International Medical College of Zhejiang Shuren University & Modern Medical Education Summit Forum.

Ge Huijun, Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; Sun Jingmiao, Vice Chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of Zhejiang Shuren University; Yang Qing, Chief of Department of Health Science, Technology and Education, National Health Commission of the PRC; Wang Sufang, Minister of Political Participation of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party; Chen Genfang, Director of the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province; Wang Yuanjing, Deputy Director of the Third Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, six academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 200 experts and scholars from famous universities at home and abroad, including Peking University, University of Hong Kong, Macau University of Science and Technology, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai University, Shandong First Medical University, Anhui Medical University, Belarusian State University, and University Medical Center of Princeton.

At the meeting, Shulan International Medical College of Zhejiang Shulan University was officially inaugurated, with Chinese Academy of Engineering member Zheng Shusen as Dean and Li Lanjuan as Chairman.

At the subsequent "Modern Medical Education Summit Forum", the participating experts and scholars discussed and exchanged views on "The Future of Chinese Medical Education: Challenges and Prospects".
