From June 28 to July 11, seven students from Southern University of Russia visited Zhejiang Shuren University for a two-week short-term exchange program themed “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Culture”. Led and organized by the School of Information Science and Technology, the program received coordinated support from the Office of International Affairs, the School of International Education, and the School of Humanities and Foreign Languages. By integrating classroom lectures, company visits, and cultural study tours, the program created a valuable platform for exchange between young people from China and Russia.

During the program, the school offered specialized courses on China’s digital economy, artificial intelligence technologies, and China’s information technology education system. Chinese and Russian students also participated in discussions on the application of artificial intelligence. The academic program was complemented by Chinese language and traditional Chinese culture courses, as well as hands-on activities in Chinese calligraphy and tea culture. Visits to Liangzhu Museum, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, and Zhejiang Science and Technology Museum enabled the Russian students to gain an immersive understanding of the depth of traditional Chinese culture and vibrant digital technology development in China.

The school also arranged visits to leading technology companies, including Huawei and Unitree Robotics, where the students gained firsthand insight into China’s latest achievements in information and communications technology and intelligent robotics. Joint seminars involving Chinese and Russian students further encouraged the exchange of ideas and perspectives. In their free time, the students visited West Lake and the Shaoxing Rice Wine Town, and visited the Campus in Shaoxing, gaining a deeper understanding of our university.

On July 10, a closing ceremony was held in the Cha Chi-Ming Building. The Russian students presented the outcomes of their projects and were awarded certificates of completion. On July 11, the students departed China, marking the successful conclusion of the program.

The program represents an important initiative by the School of Information Science and Technology to deepen educational cooperation between China and Russia. The school will continue to expand exchanges with Russian higher education institutions and create broader platforms for cultivating internationally-oriented applied talents.
