Our University and the University of Wolverhampton Held the UK Quality Panel Meeting for Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education for a Dual-Degree Program in Estate Management

On March 24, Zhejiang Shuren University and the University of Wolverhampton convened the University Quality Panel Meeting online for Sino-Foreign cooperative dual-degree program in Estate Management. Representatives from the Office of International Affairs, the School of Public Affairs, the Library, the Office of Academic Affairs, and the Office of Student Affairs, along with key faculty members from the relevant discipline, attended the meeting, which was co-chaired by the two institutions.

During the meeting, both parties presented an overview of their institutional profiles, academic program systems, and the foundational cooperation on the project. They agreed that the program aligns well with the higher education development goals of both universities and serves as an important vehicle for deepening inter-institutional collaboration and enhancing the level of internationalized education.

Heads of relevant departments from our university delivered special reports in English one by one, providing a comprehensive overview of supporting conditions, including library resources, student status and degree management, student services, and the educational environment, while specifically addressing the key concerns raised by the University of Wolverhampton. In the core discussion session, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on critical matters such as library resources, credit recognition, curriculum standards, and professional accreditation, clarifying the implementation standards and pathways for the program.

Following closed-door deliberations, the University Quality Panel offered recommendations for improvement concerning course assessment, academic calendars, syllabi, reading lists, and joint management mechanisms, thereby providing clear guidance for the program’s advancement. Both parties discussed the relevant issues one by one and identified corresponding solutions. Wan Guowei, Director of the Office of International Affairs, delivered the concluding speech, stating that the university will strictly align with the Panel’s requirements, integrate high-quality resources, and advance all preparatory work to high standards to ensure the program’s successful implementation and tangible results.

The successful convening of this quality panel meeting marks substantial progress in our university’s undergraduate-level Sino-Foreign cooperative dual-degree program in Estate Management, laying a solid foundation for the program’s subsequent implementation. The university will accelerate the implementation of the agreed-upon improvements, ensure the high-quality launch of the program, and continue to enhance the quality of its international education and talent cultivation.
