Continuing Friendship and Deepening Cooperation--Guests from Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Macau University of Science and Technology, Cheng Shiu University, and Ming Chuan University Visited Us

From June 15-17, at the invitation of our university, the presidents and doctors from the universities of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, including Prof. Cheng Shun-Jen, Vice President of Cheng Shiu University of Taiwan, Prof. Wang Chin-Lung, Vice President of Ming Chuan University of Taiwan, and Prof. Huang Junliang, Associate Vice President of Hong Kong Shue Yan University, Prof. Leong Man-Wai, Associate Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology, Dr. Wang Hsu-Sheng from Taiwan Police College, and Dr. Shi Li from Hong Kong Yan Chai Hospital Wong Wha San Secondary School, visited our university for the inter-university friendly visit and taking part in academic exchange activities.

Li Lu fully affirmed the exchange and cooperation programs and their implementation between our university and Cheng Shiu University of Taiwan over the past 18 years, pointing out that we should continue to strengthen inter-university exchanges and promote scientific research cooperation on “Ultra-micro Research Center” between both universities.

Accompanied by Li Lu, Prof. Cheng Shun-Jen visited our Interdisciplinary Research Academy. Both parties discussed the research and cooperation in the fields of ultra-micro and testing, proposed constructive opinions and ideas, and reached a consensus on the next step of cooperation.

Li Lu met with Prof. Wang Chin-Lung, Vice President of Ming Chuan University of Taiwan. They deeply discussed the application and development trend of artificial intelligence, big data, digital medical, computational medicine in the interdisciplinary and new medicine fields, and reached the cooperation intention of both universities on the improvement of big data application ability of the faculty, academic exchanges, and scientific research cooperation.

During their visit, Chen Xinmin had cordial talks with Prof. Wang Chin-Lung and Dr. Wang Hsu-Sheng respectively. Prof. Cheng Shun-Jen visited Shulan International Medical College accompanied by the leaders of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs. Dean Chen Weizhe gave the guests a comprehensive introduction of the Medical College, the development of each major, and the college’s development plan.

On June 16, the guests from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan participated in the academic exchange activity of “2023 Cross-Strait and Hong Kong and Macao Private Education Development Forum” sponsored by our university. The Alliance conducts collaborative study on theoretical and practical issues based on the understanding, interpretation and exploration of important practical issues such as the essence, reality and foresight of private education in the context of the high-quality education development, and actively promotes the healthy and sustainable development of private education on both sides of the Straits.
