“Environmental Restoration” Sub-Forum of the Fourth Chinese-Belarusian Youth Forum Held Successfully

From November 6-7, the Fourth Chinese-Belarusian Youth Forum jointly organized by our university and Belarusian State University was successfully held in Hangzhou as a gift for celebrating the 37thAnniversary of the founding of Shuren University.

On November 7, the Chinese-Belarusian Youth Forum Environmental Restoration Sub-Forum was held in Huagang Hall, Zhejiang Hotel. The attendees of this sub-forum included Vladimir Agabekov, Academician and Director of the Institute of Chemistry of New Materials of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Pavel Nesterenko, Professor of Lomonosov Moscow State University of Russia, and Iryna Kimlenka, Associate Professor of Belarusian State University, as well as the leaders and key members of various disciplines of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy, the School of Biology and Environmental Engineering and other related schools of Zhejiang Shuren University.

Thissub-forumwas presided over by Prof. Liu Weiping, Dean of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy. Mr. Liu first extended a warm welcome to the guests at the sub-forum, and introduced the historical background of environmental restoration and indicated its significance in ecological governance and building a community with a shared future for mankind from ahigh-levelviewpoint.

Prof. Pavel Nesterenko from Lomonosov Moscow State University of Russia, the young scholars from Belarusian State University including Evgeniy Zhukovsky, Liavontsyeu Aliaksei and Anushko Ruslan, and the representatives of Zhejiang Shuren University, including Yin Shanshan, Specially-appointed Associate Researcher, Dr. Guo Tianjiao, Young Teacher, Muhammad Aamir, Young International Teacher, and Ye Kai, Undergraduate Student Majoring in Environmental Engineering, made wonderful academic reports respectively in the fields of theoretical research and technological development of environmental toxicology, water treatment and new green materials by focusing on the theme of environmental restoration.

Yin Shanshan, Specially-appointed Associate Researcher of the Interdisciplinary Research Academy, made a summary report of the sub-forum. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the guests and attendees who made the keynote reports, and hoped that in the future, related theoretical research and technological development achievements in environmental toxicology, water treatment and new green materials could be applied practically and contribute to environmental governance and restoration.

As one of the academic sub-forums of the Chinese-Belarusian Youth Forum, Environmental Restoration Sub-Forum provided an important platform for experts and scholars to discuss and exchange opinions in depth.
