In the afternoon of October 19, 2022, a meeting on the promotion of nursing staff training program in Zhejiang Province was held at Zhejiang Provincial Center for Medical Science Technology and Education Development, which was co-organized by Zhejiang Provincial Center for Medical Science Technology and Education Development and the School of Continuing Education of our university. The project leader of the Talent Exchange Service Center of the National Health and Health Commission attended the meeting via video link from Beijing, and the vice presidents, directors, and experts of nursing departments from Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital, Zhejiang Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Run Run Shaw Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and Hangzhou First People's Hospital attended the meeting. Other attendees included Gu Hua, Director of Zhejiang Provincial Center for Medical Science Technology and Education Development, and Wang Jinming, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office of our university and the comrades in charge of the School of Continuing Education.

At the meeting, Zhu Kefu, Project Director of the Talent Exchange Service Center of the National Health Commission, first introduced the background of the program.

Then, Director Gu Hua introduced and mobilized the promotion of the program, explained the situation of medical care in Zhejiang Province at the present stage, pointed out the shortcomings of poor nursing ability in the process of high-quality development of medical level in Zhejiang province, and said that in the future, we should plan resources as a whole, coordinate with each other at all levels, allow hospitals, universities and trainees to play their respective roles well, in order to improve the medical service quality of nursing staff in our province.

Hu Jianwei, Dean of School of Continuing Education of our university, introduced the work of our university as the selected cooperative organization for the training of medical nursing staff this year with the help of National Health Commission and Zhejiang Provincial Center for Medical Science Technology and Education Development.

Experts from various hospitals deeply agreed with the work of this training program, and believed that the program was in line with the Healthy China strategy and was necessary for hospitals to improve their medical services. They shared their experiences on the current situation of nursing staff in each organization, provided relevant research data, and offered suggestions for the development of the training program.

This meeting favorably promoted the training program of nursing staff in Zhejiang Province and found a solution for the promotion of the program in accordance with the actual situation in our province. After the meeting, the School of Continuing Education will actively promote the program and provide the training services of medical and nursing staff for the society and medical industry, which will certainly play a positive role in promoting the implementation of the Healthy China strategy and the construction of the demonstration area of common prosperity in Zhejiang Province.
