Zhejiang Shuren University – University of Singapore Cooperated Talent Cultivation Project Was Held Successfully

Zhejiang Shuren University–University of Singapore (NUS) cooperated talent cultivation project–“Connection in Asia” talent mutual visit conference, was held in B2-101. The project is a undergraduate and postgraduate course cultivation project jointly conducted by Zhejiang Shuren University and Institute of System Sciences of University of Singapore (NUS-ISS), aiming to cultivate interdisciplinary digital application talents. The introduction conference was conducted in both online and offline way. Professor Wang Wanliang, Dean of School of Information Science and Technology of Zhejiang Shuren University, Professor Wang Zhangquan, secretary of the Party committee and Executive Vice Dean of the school, Professor Zhang Denghui, Vice Dean of the school, Teacher Ding Jianlong, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the school, as well as some students of 2019, 2020 and 2021 attended the conference. Camilla Wang, the person in charge of the NUS-ISS Zhejiang project, and Dr. Esther Tan, Director of theNUS-ISS system analysis postgraduate project, exchanged with students and teachers at the conference in an online way.

University of Singapore is a world famous university, and the cooperation plays important roles in international exchange of our university. At the same time, the project is very significant to cultivation of professional ability and international vision of students as well as their personal development. Dean Wang Wanliang made an invitation to University of Singapore in his speech.He wished that related teachers of the NUS-ISS project would visit the university after the epidemic. The school will further facilitate the project, to provide convenience for exchange and study of students.

During the project introduction, Camilla Wang firstly made a brief introduction to Connection in Asia Talent Exchange Plan. After that, Camilla Wang gave a detailed introduction to the system analysis postgraduate diploma project. The project balances the relations among postgraduate courses, personal skills and occupational development, and connects between undergraduate education and postgraduate diploma course. The whole study course is divided into five stages, and the diploma approved by Ministry of Education will be issued to students after study of the whole five stages.The project is featured with education background advantage, employment advantage as well as time economy advantage.
