The opening ceremony for the first class of the Zhejiang Province Steel Structure Industry School of Zhejiang Shuren University was held in B2-101 of Gongchenqiao Campus in the afternoon of March 26. Yao Jian, the secretary-general of Zhejiang Association of Steel Structure Industry, Shao Jianwei, the deputy secretary general, Wang Ping, the deputy secretary of the party committee of Zhejiang Shuren University, Chen Xinmin, vice-president, as well as leaders and experts from 11 famous steel structure enterprises such as Hangxiao Steel Structure, SoutheastGrid, Jinggong Steel Structure, South Central China Steel Structure, Dadi Steel Structure, Zhongtian Steel Structure, Hengda Steel Structure, Yuegong Steel Structure, Huaxing Steel Structure, Hongxiang Steel Structure and Shengda Steel Tower, presented in the ceremony. In addition, related leaders of the Department of Student Development and Services and Department of Academic Affairs of Zhejiang Shuren University, leaders of the Institute of Urban Construction, as well as teachers and 150 students of related specialties participated in the ceremony. The opening ceremony was held by Dr. Chen Danwei, the vice-president of the Institute of Urban Construction.

Wang Jun, the deputy secretary of the party committee of Zhejiang Shuren University presented students of the first class with a flag on the meeting, and Professor Yao Jian, the president of the Zhejiang Province Steel Structure Industry School, issued the certificate of appointment to WengJiuyong, the class teacher of the first class.

It is believed with supports from all related parties, the Zhejiang Province Steel Structure Industry School will hold the origin of operation and construct and manage in a joint way, to develop to a “industry-university-research platform” with large popularity and influence in Zhejiang or even the whole country.
