The meeting of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was successfully held in Zhejiang People’s Great Hall from January 11th to 15th. Professor Wan Guowei, Chairman of the Democratic League Branch of our university, attended the meeting as a member of the new CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, and gave suggestions actively for promoting the economic and social development of our province.
As an expert on the issues relating to agriculture, rural areas, and rural people in Zhejiang Province, Wan Guowei has actively offered advice and suggestions based on his professional knowledge and experiences and research results that he accumulated at ordinary times. In this conference, he submitted three proposals individually and one proposal collectively, such as "Countermeasures and Suggestions for Developing New-type Rural Collective Economy in 26 Counties” and “Suggestions on the Iterative Upgrading and Integrated Development of Rural Industries”, and one proposal for the practical matter of people's livelihood, that is, “Suggestions on Attracting and Retaining Talents in Colleges and Universities”. Various media and platforms, such as China News Network, Voice of Zhejiang, Liangyi Newspaper and Zhejiang Provincial Committee of China Democratic League, have reported on Wan Guowei's "Constructive Opinion" in performing his duties, and Liangyi Newspaper has published a special edition of his proposals.
