On April 20th, Zhejiang Shuren University signed the Memo of Cooperation with Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia (also known as UCAM). These two universities reached the cooperation and exchange agreement on the exchange of teachers and students, the communication about education and scientific research approaches, the development of education programs, bachelor’s and master’s education programs for students, doctoral programs for teachers, and the cooperation on scientific research project. And meanwhile, the two universities discussed on the Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program. After several rounds of consultations, it is decided to jointly hold an undergraduate program of the architecture major on the basis of fully demonstrating the feasibility, and signed the cooperation agreement. On April 30th, with the joint efforts of the two universities, the application for the Ministry of Education’s Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program was successfully completed.
Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia, also known as UCAM, has always adhered to the advanced, accurate and international education concept, and has a remarkable reputation in Europe and ranks third among private universities in Spain. In 2020, UCAM was selected into the 2021 Times Higher Education World Reputation Ranking (THE) and thus included in the ranks of the world’s top universities, and has been awarded four stars in the QS star rating, including five stars on the aspects of teaching, internationalization, social responsibility and inclusiveness.
Since 2020, our university has signed the Memos of exchange and cooperation with Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, Universidad Complutense and Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia in Spain, and reached cooperation intentions on the exchange of teachers, researchers and students to communicate with each other and carry out the cooperation on curriculum and scientific research plans and the communication on teaching and literature studies. ZJSRU plans to jointly hold an online lecture on "Green Building and Sustainable Development in Spain" with UCAM in the next half year. The key speaker will be Professor Juan Rodin Ruiz, Dean of the University’s Higher Polytechnic School and Director of the Undergraduate Department of Architecture.
The cooperative education program with Universidad Catolica San Antonio De Murcia will accelerate the internationalization level of the university, innovate the mode of international talent training, and give full play to the advantages of integration of industry, education and research for talents training in both China and Spain.
