The Third Cross-Strait, Hong Kong, and Macao Non-governmental (Private) Education Development Conference in 2025 was successfully held in Hangzhou from November 21 to 23. Hosted by the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Private Education Research Center and organized by the School of Economics and Management of Zhejiang Shuren University, the conference centered on the theme “The Contribution of Non-governmental (Private) Higher Education Institutions in Social Development”. It brought together scholars, university representatives, and experts across the Strait, Hong Kong, and Macao to jointly explore pathways for high-quality development of private education and opportunities for cross-regional cooperation.

Through keynote reports and panel discussions, the conference delved into critical issues such as the role of private universities in cultivating regional talent, innovating operational mechanisms, and setting benchmarks in educational models. The attendees unanimously affirmed that the conference provided a valuable platform for cross-regional dialogue, playing a significant role in facilitating the integration of educational resources and fostering collaborative innovation. The Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Private Education Research Center of Zhejiang Shuren University announced its ongoing commitment to establishing a “Cross-Strait, Hong Kong, and Macao Private Education Alliance”. Through initiatives such as publishing white papers and organizing workshops, the center aims to contribute to the modernization of private education.
