Our University Hosted the 17th Baking Competition

On the afternoon of November 25, 2025, the 17th Baking Competition, titled “Crafting Dreams by Baking, Shaping a New Era of Food”, was held at Shiyuan Restaurant. Organized by the University Youth League Committee and hosted by the Youth League Sub-Committee of Chongde College, the event formed part of the 25th College Students’ Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Festival of the university. Using food as a medium and competition as a catalyst for innovation, it integrated labor education with aesthetic education practice, attracting 41 teams of students from diverse academic backgrounds.

At the venue, participants skillfully infused creativity into their baked goods: chocolate gears embodied industrial aesthetics, buttercream “Sunlit Snow Mountains” captured poetic quality of nature, and the emblems of university and college adorned the pastries. Interactive sessions, including a Q&A quiz and traditional sugar painting, energized the crowd, strengthening campus spirit through engaging activities. In the dessert workshop, customized cookies and snowflake crisps turned campus culture into something tangible and delightful.

During judging process, professional teachers evaluated entries based on creativity, color, and other criteria, while contestants explained the stories behind their creations, showcasing their pride and national sentiment. Su Zhigang, an expert from the Ministry of Education, visited the competition and praised the innovative thinking demonstrated by students from various disciplines. By blending craftsmanship with dreams, the competition inspired young participants to link their efforts closely with national progress, encouraging them to contribute to the times through practical action.
