From August 15-16, 2022 Academic Conference of Computer Education Branch of Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education was held in Our university. This conference was hosted by Computer Education Branch of Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education, Zhejiang Province University Computer Course Teaching Steering Committee, Zhejiang Province Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Major Teaching Steering Committee, Computer Major Teaching Steering Committee of Zhejiang Higher Vocational Technical Education, and organized by the School of Information Science and Technology of our university.
Centering on the curriculum construction of computer, big data and artificial intelligence, and the construction of first-class majors, the attendees deeply discussed the reform and innovation of computer, big data and artificial intelligence teaching in colleges and universities in our province at the conference. More than 120 experts and guests from Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Hangzhou Dianzi University, Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Normal University, and the universities of other provinces, as well as several backbone teachers from the School of Information Science and Technology of our university, attended the conference.
President Li Lu of our university attended the conference and delivered a speech on behalf of Shuren University. He warmly welcomed all the experts and scholars, and introduced the overall conditions of the university and the innovative measures and achievements of our university in discipline construction and talent training in recent years, through centering on the integration of medical, engineering and information technology. And President Li also mentioned the development plan of "taking discipline construction as the guide to promote the university's quality improvement and upgrading" during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and the development goal of "Famous university which is non-government funded".
He Qinming, Chairman of Computer Education Branch of Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education and Professor of Zhejiang University, delivered a speech on behalf of the branch. At the conference, eight specially invited guests made special reports respectively. Among them, Professor Ye Shiping, Vice President of our university, gave a report entitled Exploration and Practice of Training Health Care and IT Interdisciplinary Talents.
Two enterprise experts were also invited to make special reports on computer education research, textbook development, industry-school collaboration education and other contents at the conference.
During the conference, the Computer Education Branch also organized and held the meeting of executive directors and on the renewal of the term, to sort out and summarize the work of the branch, discuss the work plan of the next stage, and hold the general election of the board of directors and the standing council.
This conference provided a platform for experts and scholars to exchange new ideas and new measures of computer education reform. The attendees thoroughly discussed the problems of computer education, industrial development, science and education collaboration, industry-university cooperation under the new situation of higher education in China, and fully exchanged the innovative ideas and measures of colleges and universities inside and outside the province, which further promoted the reform of computer major construction and talent training in Zhejiang Province. Meanwhile, it offered a learning and publicity opportunity for the School of Information Science and Technology of our university to carry out the cross-integration of medicine, engineering and information technology, and educate intelligent and health care talents with high quality.
