Vide-president Chen Jun led five leaders from Department of Scientific Research and School of Information Science and Technology to Russia University of Information and Radio to participate in series of activities of university anniversary during March 13-17, 2019. In Minsk, the visiting mission visited Russia University of Information and Radio and Institute for Information Problems of Belarusian Academy of Sciences, and participated in the “Big Data and Senior Analysis” international conference held by Russia University of Information and Radio, and interviewed with Academician Serguy to conduct academic exchanges.
The Defense Minister of the Republic of Belarus, the representative of the military, the Telecommunications Company of the Republic of Belarus, Institute 52 of China Power Investment Corporation, Belarusian State University of Arts, Minsk State Language University, Zhejiang Shuren University, Hangzhou Electronic Science and Technology University, as well as universities of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan attended the opening ceremony. Vice-president Chen Jun donated the “Brocade Picture of Ten Views of the West Lake” to Russia University of Information and Radio as a present for university anniversary.
In Russia University of Information and Radio, vice-president Chen Jun introduced the implementation conditions of the framework agreement between the two schools to vice-president Anatoly Osipov and leaders of related departments, and wishes that both schools can have further cooperation in scientific research and teaching, and invited experts of Republic of Belarus to participate in projects such as China High-end Foreign Experts and “Sea Gull” Talent Plan, and explained application conditions and requirements in details. Department of Scientific Research and School of Information Science and Technology further connected the research orientation and the research achievements of information disciplines. Vice-president Anatoly Osipov introduced achievements in radio communication and radar system, and wished that both schools can further implement the promotion of the “Year of Education” between China and Republic of Belarus.
Russia University of Information and Radio laid emphasis on cooperation with our university. The president of the university and the first vice-president of the university arranged the second meeting to interview with the visiting mission of our university. The president appreciated that our university attended the 55th College anniversary ceremony in 2019, and wished that both Colleges will deepen cooperation on talent cultivation, student exchange and scientific research based on the cooperation agreement. Vice-president Chen Jun invited the president of Russia University of Information and Radio to visit our university at suitable time in 2019.
The delegation also attended the “Big Data and Senior Analysis” International Meeting held by Russia University of Information and Radio, and Dr. Liu Banteng from School of Information Science and Technology gave the theme speech of “Data Processing and Defect Inversion”, to conduct academic interaction and exchange with the experts about the research theme.
Academician Serguy, a guest professor in our university, welcomed the delegation warmly, and accompanied them to visit the Institute of Information Problems of Belarusian Academy of Sciences. Alexander, the director of the Institute of Information Problems, and his team gave brief introduction to the general conditions of the Institute, and introduced the research achievements in the medical image field in detail, as well as the important contributions in three-dimensional reconstruction of digital images of lung cancer. Academician Serguy team introduced the object identification and detection based on unmanned aerial vehicles and the autonomous navigation system for unmanned aerial vehicles. The experts and the delegation conducted long-term exchange about the feasibility in cooperation of the researched theme.
2019 was the “Year of Education” of China and Republic of Belarus. The delegation further deepened the friendship between our school and related units of the Republic of Belarus. Both parties will continue strengthening exchange and cooperation in fields of scientific research, education and talent exchange, to promote relations of scientific researchers between both parties, to achieve dual-directional links and mutual benefit. In this way, it attracts more Belarusian experts to exchange and study in our university; in addition, with the carriers of scientific research projects, both parties will lay emphasis on joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative, to improve cooperation in scientific research and teaching.
