From October 13 to 15, 2025, at “the 9th Member Representative Conference of the China Steel Construction Society and the 2025 China Steel Construction Conference” held in Nanning, Guangxi, the 2025 Science and Technology Awards of the China Steel Construction Society were officially announced. The program of “Research on Morphology and Engineering Application of Large-span Cable-strut Prestressed Spatial Structures”, led and submitted by a team from our university’s School of Urban Construction, won the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award.

It is understood that the Science and Technology Award of the China Steel Construction Society is an authoritative industry award that was established through the approval of the National Office for Science and Technology Awards. It is organized and reviewed by the China Steel Construction Society, the most authoritative 5A-rated national social organization in the steel construction industry in China. The award is designed to promote scientific and technological innovation in the steel structure field, reviewed annually, and qualified to recommend programs for the application of national science and technology awards, representing the highest honor of the China Steel Construction Society.
