On November 16, at the 11th Zhejiang Provincial College Students’ Economic Management Case Competition (Public Management Track), the “Rural Revitalization Pioneers’ Team” from the School of Public Affairs of our university won the first prize with their case study titled “From the Gate of Houdoumen to the Gate of Common Prosperity: The Code to Rural Revitalization Through New Farmers’ IP in Agriculture-Culture-Tourism Transformation” after intense competition in both the preliminary and final rounds. The team demonstrated the practical capabilities and innovative spirit of students majoring in Public Affairs Management.

Professor Zhou Chaocheng, Dean of the School of Public Affairs, personally led the planning for this year’s public management case competition. As part of the preparations, teachers were dispatched to acquire competition-related knowledge in May, followed by in-depth grassroots fieldwork conducted by both faculty and students during the summer vacation to develop the case studies. The school carefully selected three teams to participate in the competition. The “Rural Revitalization Pioneers’ Team”, composed of students from interdisciplinary backgrounds, stood out through rounds of topic selection, field research, report writing, and defense, under the guidance of Dr. Meng Ying and Associate Professor Yuan Jian.

This outstanding achievement is the result of months of hard work by both faculty and students and has significantly boosted morale across the school. The school will seize this opportunity to further deepen teaching reforms, encourage student participation in academic competitions, and cultivate more outstanding talents in the field of public administration.
