Delegation of Senior Principals from Hong Kong Visited Our University for Exchange

On the afternoon of November 5, a 10-member Delegation of Senior Principals from Hong Kong Visiting Zhejiang for Research visited the Gongchenqiao Campus of our university. The delegation conducted exchanges under the theme “Promoting the Sharing of Educational Experiences between Hong Kong and Zhejiang, and Deepening Exchanges on Curriculum Reform and Innovative Educational Practices”. Through on-site visits and exchanges, the delegation jointly explored new pathways for educational development, thereby strengthening the ties between the educational sectors of Zhejiang and Hong Kong.

The delegation was warmly received by our President Li Lu. Both parties engaged in lively discussions on the distinctive features of education in Zhejiang and Hong Kong, practices in curriculum reform, and student and faculty exchanges, and reached a further consensus in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, laying a solid foundation for regular exchanges and deepened cooperation between the educational communities of the two regions subsequently.

Accompanied by Vice President Ye Shiping, the delegation visited the Ho Tin Library, where they toured its reading spaces, collection resources, and digital service facilities. They gained a detailed understanding of the library’s operational model and distinctive initiatives in supporting teaching and research, as well as serving the growth of faculty and students, commending its environmental layout and service philosophy.

Additionally, the delegation also visited the Interdisciplinary Research Academy. By observing research platforms and listening to presentations on project achievements, they gained a deep understanding of the university’s exploration and achievements in interdisciplinary integration and scientific research innovation, and were deeply impressed by the university’s research capabilities and innovative atmosphere.

Wan Guowei, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office; Liu Weiping, Dean of the School of Biology and Environmental Engineering; Cao Bin, Deputy Director of the President’s Office; Wu Ronglan, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office; and Tang Jiangming, Deputy Director of the Library, accompanied the delegation during their visit.

The delegation’s visit has built a bridge for direct dialogue between our university and the education community of Hong Kong. In the future, the university will continue to promote exchanges and cooperation with educational institutions in Hong Kong, facilitate the sharing of high-quality educational resources, and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of education.
