The Delegation of Uganda Ministry of Education on Educational Informatization Visited Our University

On October 31, 2025, an eight-member delegation led by Mr. Patrick Muinda Emmanuel, Director of the Department of Information and Communication, and Mr. Asaph Abenaitwe, Director of the Construction Management Department from the Ugandan Ministry of Education, visited our university for a special exchange on educational informatization. The delegation was received by Mr. Zhang Tianrong, Deputy Director of the Office of Information Technology Construction, and other relevant leaders. Both parties held in-depth discussions on topics including smart campus construction, the application of artificial intelligence in education, “cloud-network-computing” infrastructure, and data governance.

Zhang Tianrong gave a detailed introduction to the development of our university’s “Shuren in Hand” one-stop service platform, the comprehensive data governance system, the digital twin campus platform, and the “cloud-network-computing” digital infrastructure. The delegation also visited our university’s digital achievement exhibition corridor, the new smart teaching environment, and the digital twin campus display platform, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the university’s explorations and achievements in educational digitalization reform in recent years. They highly praised our university’s innovative practices in integrating AI into teaching and management.

Mr. Patrick Muinda Emmanuel remarked, “The investment and achievements of Zhejiang Shuren University in educational informatization are impressive. The experience in data integration, intelligent services, and AI applications, in particular, offers valuable insights for advancing educational modernization in Uganda.” Mr. Asaph Abenaitwe expressed, “We look forward to strengthening cooperation with Zhejiang Shuren University in the future to jointly explore smart education development models suitable for the national conditions of Africa.”
