The 2025 Pujiang Innovation Forum (the Exhibition of Achievements of China-Belarus Science and Technology Innovation Year) grandly opened in Shanghai on September 20. Thanks to the strong support of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and through rigorous selection by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Zhejiang Shuren University, as a crucial participant in China-Belarus scientific and technological cooperation, showcased its joint collaborative achievements over the past decade in project co-construction, platform development, and academic exchanges. These collaborative achievements garnered significant attention and coverage from China Central Television (CCTV) and Belarus National Television and Radio Company (BTRC). Following the opening ceremony, Vice Premier Liu Guozhong and First Deputy Prime Minister Snopkov visited our university’s exhibition booth, expressing keen interest in remarkable progress made by Shuren University in China-Belarus sci-tech cooperation.

Platforms, Projects, and People: Three-Dimensional Achievements in China-Belarus Cooperation

As the “2024-2025 China-Belarus Science and Technology Innovation Year” drew to a close, our university represented Zhejiang’s higher education system in showcasing the fruitful outcomes of bilateral cooperation. Three key initiatives were selected for the national cooperation list. At the exhibition, the “Integrated Device for Biomass Fillers, Functional Microbial Agents, and Resource-Recycling Utilization” was presented as a tangible achievement, having been chosen by the Ministry of Science and Technology and presented during the inspection by deputy premiers and leaders of scientific authorities from both countries. In the section of Scientific and People-to-People exchanges, the International Sci-Tech Cooperation Base for Remote Sensing Image Processing and Application, led by Vice President Ye Shiping, collaborated with multiple Belarusian universities and research institutions. Through conference videos and exhibition panels, they presented a series of academic activities, including the “China-Belarus Academic Symposium on Smart Imaging and Computational Medicine”.

Technology Matchmaking: Jointly Building a Bridge of Innovation Between China and Belarus

On the afternoon of September 21, Vice President Chen Jun was invited to attend the “Building an Innovation Bridge, Winning a Shared Future in Science and Technology -- China-Belarus Sci-Tech Innovation Matchmaking Symposium”. He delivered a keynote speech titled “Resource Utilization of Petrochemical Wastewater and Carbon Emission Reduction: A Novel Approach for High-Efficiency Caproic Acid Synthesis via Microbes”, systematically introducing the university’s technological breakthroughs and application prospects in industrial pollution control and carbon resource utilization.

During the exhibition, the achievements of our university garnered attention from multiple domestic and international research institutions and universities, including the New Quality Productivity Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Shanghai Association for Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements, Zhangjiagang (Suzhou) Liaison Office in Shanghai, Tianjin University, and the Investment Project Management, Coordination and Supervision Bureau under the Administrative Committee of the “Great Stone” China-Belarus Industrial Park (Belarus).

Setting a Benchmark for Distinguished Private Universities, Letting the World See Shuren

This exhibition has opened a new window for our university to expand its international scientific and technological cooperation network and enhance its cross-border innovation capabilities. The university will continue to deepen practical collaboration between China and Belarus in joint scientific research, platform co-development, and talent cultivation, actively serve the science and technology innovation action of the “Belt and Road” Initiative, contribute to the development of new quality productive forces, and continuously contribute “Shuren Wisdom” and “Shuren Strength” for regional sustainable development and common prosperity.
